Boiler repair FAQs
Can you fix my boiler the same day?
- Often, yes. We carry common spares such as pumps, diverter valves, thermistors and pressure sensors on the van, so many faults are sorted on the first visit. If a part has to be ordered we tell you the timescale before we leave.
What do the fault codes on my display mean?
- Codes vary by manufacturer, but they usually point to low pressure, ignition failure, a blocked condensate pipe or a faulty sensor. Read the code out to us over the phone and we can normally tell you whether it is a quick fix or something bigger.
Is it worth repairing an older boiler?
- If the boiler is under ten years old and the part is available, repairing is nearly always the sensible choice. Beyond twelve years, with repeat breakdowns, we will show you the numbers so you can decide between a repair and a replacement.
What should I do if I can smell gas?
- Do not use switches or naked flames. Turn the gas off at the meter, open windows and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away, then get in touch with us once the supply is safe.
